JulieAnna Anastassatos

JULIEANNA ANASTASSATOS is an attorney, currently working as a government relations professional for a multi-national financial services company. She previously worked as in-house legal counsel for the same company, and as a civil litigator in private practice, specializing in insurance coverage and bad faith litigation. She is licensed to practice law in California, Texas, Nevada and Tennessee.

 

Prior to graduating from King Hall School of Law at the University of California, Davis, JulieAnna received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from UCLA in Linguistics and French. During graduate school, she taught introductory French classes to undergraduate and graduate students.

 

She is a proud military spouse whose husband served as an active-duty Air Force pilot and later retired from the Nevada Air National Guard. Her husband’s military service and later commercial airline career has taken the family all over the U.S. and even to Germany. 

 

Currently, JulieAnna works from her home in Nevada where she lives with her husband, two of their four children and two rescue dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys playing and singing classic rock-n-roll music, or camping, hiking and kayaking at Lake Tahoe.

Scott Asai

SCOTT ASAI has been developing leaders for 20+ years for and with youths, sports, millennials and companies.

 

As the owner of Leadership Muscle he does speaking and training engagements for companies and hosts a monthly network event/speaker series with General Assembly.

 

Scott’s background includes: a B.A. in Psychology, M.A. in Organizational Leadership, Certified Professional Coach and Certified Strengths Coach. His latest book, The Startup Church: Reaching Millennials Where Faith Meets Business, is available on Amazon.

 

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, working out and going to Disneyland on a weekly basis.

CARLTON BOWERS has worked exclusively at early-stage startups with experience in operations, sales, and management. He enjoys building roles from scratch and leading teams, but above all else is a fan of fostering a positive workplace culture. John Casey

JOHN CASEY, MBA, MSW, LCSW is a licensed psychotherapist in Los Angeles, California. He has taught business classes (career development, successful strategies in business, micro/macro economics) at a private college in Los Angeles. John also has taught as an Adjunct Professor at California State University, Dominguez Hills in Carson, California.

 

John has assisted consumers to educate themselves and improve their credit profiles. He has served as a consultant to a nonprofit community organization and has participated in various community philanthropic projects.

 

John is currently running his own private practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He specializes in working with adolescents, young adults, and anyone who has been challenged by excessive anger, depression, PTSD, anxiety and mood disorders.

Bridget Fahy

BRIDGET FAHY, M.D., FACS is a surgical oncologist currently practicing in New Mexico. She specializes in colorectal cancer, melanoma, and sarcoma. Dr. Fahy received her medical degree from the University of California Irvine School of Medicine and completed her surgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

 

In addition to her surgical practice, Dr. Fahy is also one of a very few surgeons with board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Her dual training in surgical oncology and palliative medicine enables her to bring a patient and family-centered focus to her care throughout the course of a patient’s illness.

Becky Klein

 

BECKY KLEIN is Principal of Klein Energy, LLC, an energy and water consulting company based in Austin, Texas. Her clients include international and domestic companies focused on penetrating or expanding in North America and whose needs concern regulatory, commercial, financial, strategic, and/or government affairs expertise. Over the past twenty years, she has worked in Washington, DC and Texas in the energy, water and national security arenas. 

 

Ms. Klein served as Chairman of the Public Utility Commission of Texas as well as the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Board of the Lower Colorado River Authority. Her experience in Washington, DC also includes senior positions at the White House, U.S. Trade Development Agency, the American Enterprise Institute and as a Senior Fellow at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.

 

 

Ms. Klein retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve in January 2015. She received her academic training at Stanford University (B.A., Biology); Georgetown University (M.A., National Security Studies); and St. Mary’s Law School (J.D.). She is currently pursuing her MBA at MIT. Ms. Kelin grew up partly in Venezuela and Mexico.

Ben Kohns

BEN KOHNS is currently Talent Acquisition Manager for ADP RPO. Previously, Ben was the Director of the Staffing Practice at Venteon Finance, where he was responsible for the leadership of the Detroit market’s contract and contract-to-permanent staffing.

 

Mr. Kohns began his career in public education before moving into the accounting field. Following eight years in accounting for a nonprofit entity in Lansing, Michigan, he entered the recruiting profession. Mr. Kohns spent four years developing his recruiting and business development skills at Robert Half International’s Accountemps Division in the Lansing market before joining Harvard Accounting & Finance in 2007.

 

Harvard joined forces with Venteon in November 2009, and he was promoted to Manager of the Staffing Practice in October 2010. Mr. Kohns was a top five producer within the company and won several awards for his production and leadership. His clients and candidates recommended him based on his intuitive ability to make quality matches and his strong coordinating skills, including the comprehensive interview preparation information contained in this book.

Charles McCarthy

CHARLES McCARTHY has over 40 years of experience and achievement in the energy industry. Following graduation from the U.S. Naval Academy, he spent 7 years as an officer in the nuclear submarine service. He then spent 23 years at Southern California Edison Company (SCE), including 3 years as a Senior Vice President and member of the Management Committee during which his responsibilities included all aspects of operations, human resources, health care, information services, and a variety of other corporate functions.

 

After SCE, Charles was one of four founding members of New Energy Ventures, the largest non-utility retail electric service provider in the U.S. He is an active volunteer with SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) and various K-12 hands-on inquiry-based science initiatives.

 

Charlie and his wife, Anita, have three grown children and four grandchildren. They live in Northwest Washington State but spend the winter in Southern California.

Jim Noel

JIM NOEL began his career in construction at age 14, working for his uncle building highways in the Midwest. He participated in the interstate construction boom initiated by the Eisenhower Administration and worked in Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota.

 

He was in the excavating and grading business for 25 years. Jim founded Tri Corps Engineering, Inc. in 1978 with Hubert Roth and Hal Taylor and was the qualifying person for their California Class A Engineering License.

 

Jim retired in 2010 and enjoys playing golf. He has been a member of three private golf clubs and was the Senior Champion at each one. He was a golf professional for one year after winning $10,000 in a putting contest. In addition to writing for Your Personal Career Coach he recently completed his autobiography.

 

Jim attended school at Long Beach City College and Cal State College, Long Beach. He and his teammates won the California Jr. College Basketball Championship.
